You are not required to make a minimum deposit or maintain a minimum balance in order to receive the best available interest rate.

To open an account, all you have to do is:

• Make out a cheque to yourself, on an existing chequing account, for any amount ($1.00 or more).
• Indicate the type of account you would like to open with ING Bank of Canada.
• Send the cheque to us and your representative will make the arrangements for you.

Once your account has been opened, you can start banking over the phone or the Internet and move your money between your existing chequing account and your ING bank account.

At ING Bank of Canada, moving your money is easy, safe and secure through a process called electronic funds transfer (EFT).

You can access your money via the Internet, telephone, fax and mail.

When you request a withdrawal, the funds are deposited in your existing chequing account, usually within two business days.
